We love to toast our bread, slather it with butter & top it with flaky finishing salt.
Bread should be stored at room temperature for a few days, and it is best if there is some airflow to maintain a crisp crust. Consume within 2-3 days or freeze up to six months. If you freeze, I suggest slicing, and then the slices can be pulled individually and toasted.
Ordering is easy! Please send me an email at jeni@sunandspoonkitchen.com with your request, and we can arrange a time for pickup or delivery.
Sourdough orders need a lead time of at least 48 hours, and other baked goods approximately 24 hours.
Our products are homemade and not prepared in an inspected food establishment.
We share our home with a sweet dog & a spicy cat.
The kitchen is carefully cleaned before preparation to ensure quality, safety, & sanitation.
Hi, I'm Jeni, the baker behind Sun & Spoon Cottage Kitchen. My love for cooking began at an early age, when I'd spend countless hours cooking with my mom and playing restaurant with friends. Food has always been at the heart of my life - I've spent my entire career in food service and had the joy of teaching cooking classes to middle & high school students for many years before I had children. Sharing the craft of cooking with the next generation showed me how food connects us in powerful ways. In the short time that Sun & Spoon has been in existence, I've truly enjoyed the opportunity to meet so many people and look forward to many more opportunities to connect with others.
Sourdough has recently become a passion: the simplicity of flour, water, and salt transforming, through time and care, into something wonderful and delicious, is just incredible & so nourishing. Each baked good is made by hand, in small batches, often with homegrown ingredients, and with the spirit of teaching and sharing at its core. I hope that every bite brings you comfort, nourishment, and a sense of community.
